When is the perfect time for the kittens to move into their new home?
Our Burmese kittens are usually ready to start their lives with their new families between 14 and 16 weeks of age. At this age, they are strong and healthy enough to handle the move well. Of course, we always look closely to see if each individual kitten is ready to cope with the stress of the new environment and separation from its siblings.
Is it allowed to visit the cattery?
We are always happy about your interest! If you would like to get to know your future kitten in person, feel free to reach out to us via our contact form or through WhatsApp, Instagram, or Facebook. To ensure that our little purrers stay healthy and do not come into contact with viruses or bacteria, we have a few safety guidelines. The health of our kittens is truly close to our hearts!
Is there a behavioral difference between male and female Burmese cats?
Every Burmese cat has its own charm, whether male or female. Generally, the boys are often a bit more relaxed, while the girls are very curious and engaged. Ultimately, each Burmese cat is an individual — their behavior is shaped much more by personality than by gender.
How long can Burmese cats live?
Burmese cats are lucky enough to live up to 20 years and sometimes even older! With proper care, regular vet visits, and a loving home, they are exceptionally long-lived companions.
Are Burmese cats affectionate?
Oh yes! These little souls are well known for their loving nature and have a special fondness for human company. They absolutely need love and plenty of attention — and they give it back in equal measure. They have truly earned the nickname "human cat".
Do Burmese cats shed a lot?
All cats shed a little, but shedding in Burmese cats is very manageable. Their short, silky coat is easy to care for and leaves significantly less hair around than many other breeds.
How do Burmese cats behave towards other pets?
Generally, Burmese cats get along well with other animals, especially if they grow up with them from an early age. Despite their regal appearance, they are quite social! While they show a preference for their own kind, they also get along well with dogs and other cat breeds.
Are Burmese cats suitable for families with children?
Thanks to their open and confident nature, Burmese cats adapt very easily to various household situations. They love being the center of attention, but they do require a gentle and loving hand — especially when small children are involved.
Will my Burmese cat be lonely if I work during the day?
No need to panic! These cats are known for forming strong bonds with their humans. If they are alone during the day, they will make themselves comfortable and be full of energy when you return home. However, company — whether from humans or other animals — makes them particularly happy. A sibling is therefore often a great idea.
